Lil Wayne is still doing numbers. The Young Money general's latest album, Tha Carter IV, has been certified double platinum by the RIAA, with almost 1,700,000 copies moved to date. With its release only three months ago, Weezy has proven that records are still sold in this day and age.
Let's not forget the iTunes record Wayne broke when Tha Carter IV sold 300,000 units in four days, beating Jay-Z and Kanye West's Watch The Throne sales. And with 968,000 units moved on week one of its release it only took C4 two weeks to sell a million copies.
