Lindsay Lohan Arrested For Leaving Crime Scene After Allegedly Hitting Pedestrian

With her new Elizabeth Taylor biopic and positive tweets, Lindsay Lohan made the world believe she could win again.

According to TMZ, the actress landed into some trouble after being arrested Wednesday morning for allegedly clipping a pedestrian then fleeing the crime scene in downtown Manhattan.

Officials say Lindsay was pulling in to park her Porsche Cayenne near the Dream Hotel at a very low speed when she allegedly hit the knee of a 30-something year-old man around midnight. One of her passengers in the SUV supposedly got out and checked the vehicle for damage then went inside the hotel with LiLo. When she emerged from the hotel around 2 a.m., she was arrested.

The Parent Trap star is reportedly telling friends she had no idea she hit anybody and it wasn't until she came out and got arrested that she knew anything was going on. She claims that the passenger story is false and feels that the incident may have been a set-up since the victim did not suffer any visible injuries, though TMZ was told he is being hospitalized.

No alcohol was reportedly involved in the incident. Though Lindsay was given a desk appearance ticket and released without bail, she may be hauled back into court if there is reason that she committed a crime.
