You may remember Mayra Veronica, the Cuban-American singer/songwriter, who's international hit "Mama Mia" will made its North American debut via Ultra in a joint venture with Syco Music (the record label of Simon Cowell).
Now there’s a new Mayra on the block, in the form of a continuation of her last global hit "Mama Mia,” which reached 15 million views combined, went #1 on the US Billboard Dance Charts and was top 20 in over six countries. Enter “MAMA YO!,” a remake of the classic Carmen Miranda song "Mamãe Eu Quero" with a modern day edgy twist. The record, which was covered by Hollywood greats like Lucille Ball and the Marx Brothers, has also been given a big retro electro revamp by Yolanda Be Cool.
