Nicki Minaj lost sleep last night just before dropping her new single called "Pills N Potions". While it isn't the rappity rap Nick who has been slaying on songs like "Lookin Ass" and "Chiraq", the message still runs deeper than rap. "I was just reflecting on my life on people who have come and gone in my life, and thinking like 'What does it all mean?'", she told The Breakfast Club just hours after its worldwide release.
While she says she isn't coming for her ex-wig guru, Terrence Davidson, specifically, she says that it's past experiences with ungrateful folk who inspired the record. "God bless him I'm talking about lots of people, nobody in particular. I've come across a lot of people who I've given amazing opportunities to, who continue to bite the hand that fed them, and I always give people enough rope to hang themselves with. In general, I think in life, I try to be super fair to everyone so when you cross me it's just like, 'Really? Hmmm...ok.' It is what it is. I still love."
She also discusses setting up thirst traps on her Instagram, her forthcoming album The Pink Print, being single, and her reaction to Forbes saying that a "white woman runs hip-hop." Listen in above.
