From radio to his peers’ uncountable remakes, Lloyd Banks has been enjoying a plethora of positive feedback for his current single with Juelz Sanata, “Beamer, Benz or Bentley.” And while he's been tightlipped about the much-anticipated remix, the G-Unit lyricist revealed to VIBE that there will be multiple official remixes, each representing different regions.
“I’ve got so much love and a good response on this record that it’s actually going to have to be more than one remix because it goes by markets,” Banks told VIBE, careful not to drop names. “You got Down South, you got the West coast, you got the East coast. Different regions take different records.”
While Slim Thug recently revealed via Formspring that he's been tapped for a remix to "Beamer, Benz or Bentley," Banks says he'll likely lead off with a version for his hometown New York City.
As for actual guest stars, Banks has no shortage of fans of the spacey, minimalist instrumental, with everyone from Royce Da 5'9" to Ace Hood recording their own versions. But just who did Lloyd Banks think covered it best?
“I thought the Maino version was cool, I like the Joe Budden verse. Fab is cool too and there’s so many more, but those are the ones that stick out to me," Banks said. "They’re playing that Joell Ortiz version a lot in NY, too."
“I still think mine is the tightest, but hey [laughs].” —Tracy Garraud
