Fast And Furious the franchise is looking to cultivate itself into quite the ensemble picture. Familiar face, Lucas Black of Tokyo Drift fame, is slated to reprise his role in the seventh, eighth and ninth entries in the franchise series.
As production continues to get along underway, director James Wan adds more pieces to his adrenaline-laced puzzle picture. The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift star will return to the film, which stars mainstays Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, and Michelle Rodriguez, as Sean Boswell.
Interestingly enough, according to Deadline, the actor, who recently starred in writer-director Brian Helgeland's 42, signed a contract that also secures his place in tentative eight and ninth franchise entries. While Fast and Furious fans may note that his appearance in the film series was third in the order, chronologically Tokyo Drift is the sixth film as was evident by the end credits (SPOILER ALERT) scene in Fast and Furious 6, which introduced Jason Statham as the brother of Luke Evans' character, who's out for some good ole' fashioned revenge.
With Fast and Furious 7 eying a July 11, 2014 release, audiences should strap in as Black joins Diesel, Walker, Rodriguez, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Tyrese Gibson, Tony Jaa, Kurt Russell, Djimon Hounsou and Ronda Rousey in the next car-thriller adventure.
