Lupe Fiasco Announces Joint Album With Pharrell

Lupe Fiasco and Pharrell Williams, two-thirds of the group Child Rebel Soldier (CRS), have announced a joint album together.

Lupe is also working on his highly anticipated Food And Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album that is set to release sometime in 2012.

Last night, Lupe posted the news on his website: ““FOOD AND LIQUOR 2 COMING SOON....LUPE AND PHARRELL ALBUM COMING SOON....”  These two talents have done quite a few tracks in the past. In 2007, hip-hop got a taste with “Us Placers” that featured the other CRS member Kanye West. Fans loved the online single so much that an unofficial video was made, accurately depicting what the three stars' personalities would be like as children.

Others collabos inclulde N.E.R.D.’s remix for “Everybody Nose” and a track off Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music campaign “Don’t Stop” have also surfaced. Until fans can get a official release date, expect these tracks to be played on repeat at the VIBE officies. --Eric Diep
