Trukfit is making its way to a Macy’s near you. The street-wear clothing line, created by Lil Wayne, will be up for retail at the historic department store starting tomorrow (June 1).
Trukfit is Lil Wayne’s ode to skateboarding culture and will feature items ranging from hats to sweatshirts for both men and boys. According to brand director Mike Morris, in a statement to Hip Hop Wired, “Trukfit is a state of mind.”
“It is about being oneself, having fun, being free and being able to express all these elements,” Morris continued. “We are thrilled to be able to offer Trukfit at Macy's, an iconic retailer with as much as energy and heart as our brand. Lil Wayne is a favorite rapper and Macy's is a favorite shopping destination – a perfect fit!”
Lil Wayne is expected to make appearances at a few Macy’s locations once the partnership launches. However, starting today (May 31), the first 150 fans to purchase $75 worth of clothing from Trukfit or DGK products, from skateboarder and Wayne's friend Stevie Williams, will receive an opportunity to meet both starts at the Los Angeles Beverly Center.
Trukfit will be available at both Macy's and Macys.com.
