Being a free man for almost a year now, former No Limit rapper Mystikal is on the verge of releasing his comeback album.
New Orleans' most celebrated hip-hop producer Mannie Fresh told MTV News that he has been working closely with the raspy voiced rapper.
"We finishing up his album and the thing of it is, I just want it to be a traditional New Orleans album. I just want to reach back and get New Orleans artists, the way we used to put it down,” Fresh explained to MTV News.
“There's no disrespect to no other artist, but I don't feel like we have to go outside the circle. We got so much talent in our city. I would like to get some of that Neville [family] stuff on there and [Trombone Shorty]. But that's what it is. I want to bring it back to where it started from."
Mystikal is not currently affiliated with a major label but sources say the rapper is in the middle of a serious bidding war.
