The Bronx born duo, The Martinez Brothers are unstoppable. The house music spinners recently released their first foray into hip-hop, and now they have invaded Paris with their soundtrack for major fashion house Givenchy’s Fall/Winter collection 2014/15.
The latest menswear collection was designed by Riccardo Tisci and is inspired by the geometry and serious nature of the Bauhaus movement and basketball imagery. His abstract prints were created with basketballs and basketball courts in mind, channeling the design and materials. As you can see from the footage below, even the runway was court inspired.
The collection also provides some animalistic aspects with the use of muskrat and possum fur, in keeping with the luxurious feel of the clothes materials like velvet, angoras and wool were also used. The new look this season is loose and oversized pants with double pleats, creating a chic and elegant final product.
