If you thought Twitter was the best that it gets, hold your horses for a second. The creators of the social frenzy are expanding to a company that they hope will be an "umbrella" for whatever new ventures they wish to pursue.
As CNN Money is reporting, Biz Stone, Evan Williams and Jason Goldman (the men behind what we know today as Twitter) plan to launch Obvious, which is described as a coporation that "develops systems that help people work together to improve the world."
Biz Stone wrote in his blog about the new business deal that "The Twitter crew and its leadership team have grown incredibly productive. I've decided that the most effective use of my time is to get out of the way until I'm called upon to be of some specific use." While the three have decided to take a step back from Twitter, they say on their Obvious.com site that "All three of us remain involved with Twitter and we are deeply invested in the company's long term success."
Obvious, which is a resurrection of a venture created in 2006, went live Tuesday. Definitely look out for this new business, as we may be using it religiously in the near future like Twitter! — Keenan Higgins
