Mateo Talks Signing To Krucial Keys' Label and Working with Alicia Keys

Mateo Talks Signing To Krucial Keys' Label and Working with Alicia Keys

VIBE Posted January 19, 2013

While singer Mateo has clocked in some time under the tutelage of Krucial Keys, he has a resume that up-and-comers could envy.

Case in point: working with Alicia Keys on his single "Say It's So," a collaboration that knocked him off his chair in Krucial's Miami studio when he heard it.

"I'm an even bigger fan now to witness how her and Krucial work," he tells VIBE. "When we did the "Say It's So" record, I didn't even know she was gonna jump it...cause I've idolized her work for 10 years now."

Watch him also discuss the origin of his name and how he met Krucial in the clip below.
