Meek Mill Looking Forward to Joint Mixtape With Wale: 'We Ain't Ego Trippin'

During a brief sit down with The Source, Meek Mill shed some insight on how his upcoming mixtape with fellow Maybach Music Group member Wale came to fruition. 

"Matter of fact, we were in the room just chilling, like playing freestyles for each other and just said let's do a mixtape," explained the MMG rapper. "We ain't ego trippin'. We're both hot at the same time and it's only what makes sense and makes money."

The two MMG rappers took to Twitter Saturday night during a performance at Baltimore's Club Dubai to unleash the news. "Wale n Meek Mill mixtape????????," Wale tweeted, followed by a "2012 we going hard!!!" retweet from Meek Mill. There's no official release date for the mixtape.

Meek Mill's debut album is also slated for release in the new year.

"I'm trying to out that classic out and hurt the game," Meek says. "One of those new artists that's coming up from the ground that's still street, but that's dropping a classic and still doing numbers." --Shabazz
