Eureka! We’ve struck the perfect tips to having your makeup at its metallic best for bringing in the New Year. In case you haven’t heard, all-metallic-everything has been one of the top trends to love this season. It doesn’t matter what party you’ll be poppin’ champagne at, with these seven easy steps, you’ll be the sole shimmering star in the room.

1. If your eyes are your favorite feature, make them pop with a metallic liner. Try a sultry gunmetal gray liner over your normal black. A glittery eye pencil instantly glams up your eyes—use a combo of gold and silver in the inner corners of her eyes, a trick that makes eyes appear larger.

2.Gold eye shadow is universally flattering and really easy to wear. Rim your eyes with silver or gold shadow, and pair it with black eyeliner, a few coats of mascara and finish it off with a neutral pink or coral lip.

3. Wetting the brush before dipping it in an eye shadow will turn up the shade’s intensity. If you have a medium skin tone, you can get away with an array of metallic shadows from silver to green.

4. During the holiday season you can get away with highlighting your arms and décolletage with a shimmer powder. Another option is to add a few shakes to your body moisturizer for an all-over glow.
