Michael Bay Finds New Lead Actors For 'Transformers 4'

Michael Bay Finds New Lead Actors For 'Transformers 4'

Iyana Robertson Posted December 12, 2012

Apparently, in the world of superhero films, you can never get too attached to the starring actors.

Michael Bay's Transformers, the latest franchise to change face, is reportedly attempting to separate its next installment from the pack with two new stars. Brenton Thwaites—who is set to star opposite Angelina Jolie in Disney's Maleficent—will replace the series' beloved Shia LaBeouf as the movie's young male lead. And Nicola Peltz—who starred as Katara in The Last Airbender—will have big, sexy stilettos to fill as the leading lady, coming behind Megan Fox and Rosie Huntington. Thwaites and Peltz will star alongside Mark Wahlberg, who has also been confirmed as a new face for the Transformers series.

Though the plot of the movie has not been officially revealed, word is that the next film will be set in China, as Peltz will play the daughter of Wahlberg's character and Thwaites will play her biker boy love interest. The next Transformers will also take place four years after the Dark of the Moon plot, according to reports.

Transformers 4 is set to hit theaters on June 27, 2014.
