Michael Vick's Brother Apologizes For Twitter Rant

Michael Vick's Brother Apologizes For Twitter Rant

Adelle Platon Posted November 7, 2012

It's one thing to get sacked on the Internet by random strangers on Twitter for a poor football performance, but it's different when your own blood e-bashes you.

Philadelphia Eagle Michael Vick's younger brother Marcus did not keep his frustrations with his bro's less-than-winning efforts on the field private but instead launched into a long tirade on Twitter. “Please trade my brother. We requesting out of Philly!!!! Please please please,” Marcus posted during the first quarter of the Eagles versus New Orleans Saints game Monday (Nov. 5). “This not even an NFL type of O-line. What happen to the hogs the Eagles had last year and year before? Call Winston Justice back n Jamal J.”

Yikes! The rant resumed for several tweets longer, though the football star was unaware, the Chicago Tribune reports. "He tweeted that during the game? I’m sorry. I’m unaware of that," Michael told reporters who informed him after the Eagles' 28-13 loss. "That’s something I’m really going to have to address once I leave here. We’re out there fighting as hard as we can, giving it everything we’ve got, and that’s certainly not the case. I love each and every guy in that locker room, and if I could make every play right I would. I know they would do the same, so that’s certainly not the case.”

Marcus has since recanted his harsh tweets, deleted them and issued an apology on the social site. "I love my brother and it's hard as hell to watch him taking all those shots, but I'm sorry if I offended anyone and definitely didn't mean to put Mike in a tough spot. I'm not only watching as a fan, I'm watching as his blood." Tough love.
