Reports are coming in that hip-hop trio Migos was involved in a shootout in Miami early Friday morning (March 28) that left one of its members shot in the leg.
According to the Miami Herald, the "Versace" rappers were en route to their South Beach hotel when a gunfight broke out on I-95. The Atlanta natives were set to play at the nightclub Cafe Iguana in Pembroke Pines, but the gig was cancelled due to "some type of tif with management."
Florida Highway Patrol trooper Joe Sanchez said Migos' Mercedes van was heading south on the highway around 3:30am and contained eight people inside. A black vehicle pulled up alongside their car and opened fire. Someone in the Migos' van reportedly shot back. Sanchez says that 12 shots were fired and that the only person hit was one of the Migos members.
Though the victim was not named, he is said to be recovering at Jackson Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
