After a soaring performance last night at the Billboard Music Awards, Miguel became the talk of social media (with memes, vines and a trending topic on Twitter to boot).

The “Adorn” singer slipped while showcasing his usual Elvis-esque moves and ended up kicking an audience member’s head in the process. But he assures she’s all good.

The 27-year-old addressed the situation explaining to Billboard “I think it’s kind of clear what happened,” he said, “But I’m very happy to bring my new friend, Khyati, we just met. Unfortunately we did not meet under the best circumstances, but I think we’re okay.”

The fan didn’t hold any hard feelings, seeming more excited to be behind stage with the sexy singer than upset about the incident.

“I Adorn him,” she said.

The Grammy-award winning singer admitted that sometimes artists get so caught up their performances that they don’t know what’s going to happen next.

“The crazy thing is, when you’re performing and you’re just kind of into it, you never know where it’s gonna go and where you’re gonna go with it, and how that might turn out,” Miguel said. “So this is one of the less favorable moments.”

Regardless of all the jokes, Miguel and Khyati got the last laugh. He took to his Twitter later in the night saying, “got caught up in the moment, thank goodness Khyati is okay.”
