Miguel Calls Sophomore Album 'Electronic Hip-Hop' Influenced, Comments on 'Watch The Throne'

VIBE.com caught up with rising R&B star Miguel on the red carpet of the 2011 MTV VMA awards

, who detailed his upcoming as-of-yet titled sophomore album.

"Think electronic hip-hop, classic rock. Think... just great songs over those textures. This next album is going to take it a step further."

The singer also commented on Jay and Kanye's first collaborative album, Watch The Throne.

"You know what I love about Watch The Throne? It's a really big like 'fuck you' to anyone who thinks it's not okay for black people to be happy about success. I think that theme is just really dope."

Look out for Miguel's next album to be released next spring.
