Miley Cyrus's risqué performances are starting to cost her.
Due to her onstage antics, i.e. include twerking, groping and the like, the controversial pop star has been banned from performing at her Sept. 13 show in the Dominican Republic on morality grounds, according to the Associated Press.
The DR government commission that oversees public performances issued a statement Thursday (Aug. 21) saying they banned the former Disney star because her show "undertakes acts that go against morals and customs, which are punishable by Dominican law."
Tickets for the September show had been on sale since July and ranged from $27 to $370. Cyrus' team has yet to release a statement.
