Miley Cyrus may be chasing fame as a one-name wonder, following the likes of Cher, Beyonce, Rihanna and Madonna. The starlet formerly known as Hannah Montana tells Notion magazine that she's considering dropping her last name.
"I was thinking about dropping the Cyrus and just being Miley," the 20-year-old told the mag. "But there’s something powerful about the fact that my name now is like a household name."
Miley's real government is Destiny Hope Cyrus, but became known as Miley from her childhood nickname "Smiley." Still, no matter what you call her, the "We Can't Stop" singer is making the most of her name and is not the ratchet white girl she's portrayed to be.
"I’m living it to the fullest," she said. "Rather than taking a blessing and making it a curse, it's just like this is what this name is now. But I think my name means something—it represents something more than just what the media tries to make of it."
