Footage of Miley Cyrus twerking in a unicorn outfit had the Internet in a weird frenzy on Wednesday. Early today (Mar. 20), the singer/actress reflected on the reaction -- which has ranged from “whoa” to “WTF” -- during an appearance on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show.
The world got to witness Miley twerking to “WOP,” by J Dash and Flo Rida, thanks to a friend who captured her booty routine on camera.
From Miley’s perspective, the response has been mostly positive. “I'm getting so many people writing to me about it. It's kind of weird that I've twerked for 6 million people,” she told Seacrest. "I haven't seen one bad comment about my twerk video.”
Describing twerking as “a lot of booty action,” Miley added that she’s had a lot of practice (cue: Drake’s “Practice”) from the confines of her crib.
"I've been practicing probably for the past two years, in my own time, in my living room,” she said. “I can't believe how many people think I'm good at twerking, which is dope... I shot a movie in New Orleans two years ago and that's when I became fascinated and obsessed."
Miley also discussed her upcoming album and a collaboration with Snoop Lion. Listen to the full interview below.
