It seemed a little off that the calculated Miley Cyrus would take a tamer approach to her live performances at the MTV European Music Awards in Amsterdam. For starters, Cyrus was sporting more clothes than usual for her first song, "We Can't Stop," but she soon opted for her usual scant attire for the next number, "Wrecking Ball." Still, it seemed a little strange, that Cyrus, who was all over the media following her suggestive twerk-heavy MTV VMA performance in September, would keep things so mellow for the her MTV awards show follow-up.
That all changed when she got up onstage to accept her award for Best Video, which took home for "Wrecking Ball." Cyrus came up with her purse and pulled out a joint and sparked it during her thank you speak. The 20-year-old's affinity for weed is old news. Earlier this week she was spotted twice at an Amsterdam coffee shop, where the weed tends to flow like water.
"One time I smoked a joint with peyote in it, and I saw a wolf howling at the moon," Cyrus told Rolling Stone recently. Watch her anti-"Don't Do Drugs" PSA below.
