Commencing live DJ programming globally, Mixify.com announced the launch of their new audio-visual site with its first “UNITY Digital Music Festival” taking place from November 14-16, 2012. The site that aims to connect DJs and EDM lovers will host major players of the Dance genre.
A contest is also underway as the interactive live-streaming outlet prepares to add an upcoming DJ to the line-up. The battle between two DJs in determining whose name gets on the bill will be settled by how many attendees each master of the mix can bring to Mixify’s events this week. Headliners for the festival are The Crystal Method as DJs from Mars, 3LAU, Adrian Lux and others will join the line up.
Mixify.com also serves as a platform for rising and current DJs who have the opportunity to broadcast their sets from live events, or just share new releases. By bringing their site out of a beta format to a more public arena the Dance genre can reach an even greater audience.
“EDM culture is all about that immersive experience that one feels while raging to their favorite DJ at a festival, said David Moricca, founder of BreakoutBand.com and Mixify. “Our goal is to translate that feeling in a realistic way – by creating a virtual environment that will provide access, authenticity, and community to the fan; and expand the reach, exposure and credibility of our DJs.”
Moricca said the upcoming festival symbolizes what the site stands for, “a never-ending electronic music festival, where fans and DJs from all over the world can effectively party and connect from anywhere, anytime.”
