On this week's Movies with Milan, our film aficionado throws to New York correspondent Adelle Platon for the red carpet premiere in Harlem for Black Nativity. The Kasi Lemmons-directed holiday film recruits Hollywood's brightest including Jennifer Hudson, Forest Whitaker, Angela Bassett and singer/ actor Jacob Latimore.
"The exciting part was just going in and working hard everyday with legendary people and just being inspired as a new actor and a new artist as well," says Latimore, who plays Baltimore teen Langston. "Just to be doing a holiday musical with Jennifer Hudson and Tyrese, those are icons in the game right now."
Still, it's the story of family and forgiveness that stays with viewers in the blockbuster adaptation of Langston Hughes' classic long after the credits stop. Catch the VIBE TV recap above before Black Nativity hits screens Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28.
