New York, New York, big city of dreams, but is everything in New York only for reality TV means? You let us know after the jump! MTV has knowingly shifted from its music television programming to focus more on original scripted shows. From “The Real World” to “Jersey Shore,” the network has given audiences plenty of memorable moments, and their latest show looks to follow in the same vein. “Washington Heights” is a reality series that follows a crew of friends who live, work and get down in the cozy Central Park area. Manhattan’s highest point looks to stretch far beyond the city’s west side and into television around the globe. In the trailer below, you’ll get a chance to see the born-and-bred New Yorkers doing their best to humanize “How to Make it in America,” while still honoring their parents’ struggle and cultural origins. There are quite a few stories throughout the show, but at the end of the day, we’ll let you tune into the show when it premieres Wednesday, Januray 9 at 10/9c!
