Nas Classic Debut 'Illmatic' To Be Reissued

Adelle Platon Posted December 9, 2012

Life just gets better for Nas who continues to make an impact on the hip-hop landscape nearly two decades after his debut.

Not only has he scored three nods for the 2013 Grammys, his classic debut Illmatic will be hitting stores as a special deluxe edition.

According to the Los Angeles Time, the 1994 classic will be released as a collector's box set on Monday (Dec. 10) through Get on Down. "The bundle includes a gold CD with remastered audio housed in a cherrywood box, a vinyl LP, a 48-page hardcover book with extended artwork, a reproduction of the original album press release, a gold plaque, posters, promo photos used in the original album campaign and liner notes courtesy of The Source founder Jon Schecter." The retail price for the Illmatic reissue is set at $49.94.

So if you want to make this the most memorable Christmas for a Nas stan, cop the collector's item and snag tickets to his "Life Is Good/Black Rage" tour while he's on the road with soulstress Lauryn Hill.
