Nas has been making his rounds, promoting the release of Illmatic XX, the special re-release of his pristine debut, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this week. But his next project may not be too far off, either.

Grammy-nominated producer, Reefa, who has worked with the likes of Rick Ross, Fabolous, Game and Ashanti, told AllHipHop that he and Nas have worked together for the Queensbridge legend’s tentth studio album.

“Nas is working on his album,” Reefa said. “I don’t know too much about it. I just know for a fact that we’ve been collaborating.”

While details are super sparse, Mr. Jones told VIBE last summer about the inspiration for his next yet-to-be-titled effort.

“Life. I feel like Alexander Graham Bell, knowing that he’s about to do something that’s never been done,” he said. “I’m bursting with excitement, but focused more than I’ve been in the past. I’m at a place where there’s so many things that ain’t been said. Things I’ve seen that I never talked about that I wanna share. I’m so excited to tell this story because it’s real shit. It’s needed. I hate to sound like that—to say it’s needed for hip-hop—but fuck it. It is.”
