The case regarding the death of Robert Wagner's late wife, actress Natalie Wood, was reopened yesterday in L.A. Officials said that Wood drowned in 1981 while boating off Catalina Island near the California coast, in what had been ruled an accident. However, authorities decided to reopen the case for rasons that will be addressed in a conference held today at 2 p.m. ET and 11 a.m. PT.
Natalie once stated in a televised interview that she had a fear of dark seawater. Wood was wearing a long nightgown, socks, and a down jacket when her body was found and the autopsy reported several bruises as well.
Natalie's sister, Lana Wood, stated to CNN: "My sister was not a swimmer and did not know how to swim, and she would never go to another boat or to shore dressed in a nightgown and socks."
With the reopening of this case, hopefully justice will prevail. --Krystal Holmes
