Naturi Naughton To Become An X-Men, Joins Cast Of 'The Wolverine'

Naturi Naughton will briefly swap her bunny ears for some mutant powers. The Playboy Club star has landed a role in The Wolverine, the sequel to X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Naughton will play Cecilia Reyes, an off and on X-Men member who has the ability generate a force field around her body. The force provides resistance to physical attacks which can also be used to protect those nearby. She also has the ability to wield her forcefield as a blunt force, which can be used as a weapon. The character first appeared in the comic in 1997 (that was for the Stans).

This installment will also star Hugh Jackman and Kelly Hu. In this part of the saga, Wolverine travels to Japan to train with a samurai warrior.

The Wolverine starts production in October and is set for release in 2012.
