NBA Cares and ESPN To Raise Funds For Pediatric Cancer Research

NBA Cares and ESPN To Raise Funds For Pediatric Cancer Research

Christopher Harris Posted February 21, 2013

NBA Cares and ESPN will collaborate with the V Foundation for Cancer Research and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital to spread awareness and raise funds for the ongoing fight against pediatric cancer.

From Feb. 24 through March 4 (Hoops for St. Jude week), each organization will promote the campaign via nationally-televised games that will air throughout the week on ESPN, TNT and NBA TV.

Hoops for St. Jude Ambassadors include several NBA players and coaches like Pau Gasol, Marc Gasol, David Lee, Kevin Love, Lionel Hollins and George Karl. All donations will be going to The V Foundation from the campaign to benefit cancer research for St. Jude’s patients.

To support the pediatric cancer awareness campaign, you can donate at www.stjude.org/hoops or www.jimmyv.org/nba, or by texting HOPE to 50333 or JIMMYV to 80888.
