NBA Report: Shaq Attacks Nets... Sex Tape?

NBA Report: Shaq Attacks Nets... Sex Tape?

Posted June 15, 2011

A self-admitted former L.A. gang member is charging he was kidnapped at gunpoint and robbed by seven other gang members as part of a plot to recover a Shaquille O’Neal sex tape.

Robert Ross, who claims he once worked for O’Neal’s record label placing talent and admits to being a one-time member of the Main Street Mafia Crips, testified in a Los Angeles court room Monday that he was kidnapped on Sunset Blvd. the night of the 2008 Grammy Awards and robbed of $15,000 in cash, a diamond chain, Rolex watch and diamond earrings.

Ross alleges that the men then took him to the home of defendant Ladell Rowles---said to be O'Neal's friend--- where he was pistol–whipped and questioned about the tape which purportedly shows a still married O’Neal having sex with several women. Ross further testified that O’Neal had been made aware of his possession of the tape through a mutual acquaintance.

L.A. prosecutors said they have not yet verified the existence of the tape and O’Neal is not involved in the case. The case has been continued until next month.

O’Neal, who recently announced his retirement from the NBA after 19 seasons and four titles, has not yet commented.--- Glenn Minnis
