R&B Singer Ne-Yo was in the giving spirit this past Saturday.
He surprised a group of foster care children in Central Florida with gifts and also shared with them some encouraging words.
Ne-Yo is currently going across the country with his foundation that he started with his mother five years ago, to help underprivileged youth who he says he identifies with because of his own upbringing.
"I grew up pretty much like you all," he said to the teens according to CNN. "We didn't have a lot of anything…there was no silver spoon in my mouth."
He has brought more than 3000 gifts to children at Boys and Girls clubs, groups and in foster care in six days to six cities.
The teens, who will not get to spend the holidays with their own family, were emotionally touched by Ne-Yo's visit and expressed their appreciation for his warm gestures. --Natelge Whaley
