The CMT Music Awards is looking to shake things up with appearances by Nelly and Lenny Kravitz.

Performing for the first time on the CMT stage, the “Fly Away” rocker Kravitz will rock out with host Jason Aldean for a yet-to-be-announced number while “Country Grammar” rapper Nelly teams with Florida Georgia Line for their collaborative record “Cruise.” This wouldn’t be the first time the “E.I.” spitter went country; he paired with Tim McGraw for the 2004 single “Over and Over,” which peaked at no. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.

Aldean is no stranger to rap. He extended an invitation to Ludacris two years ago to help perform his hit “Dirt South Anthem.”

Actress Kristen Bell will also hold down hosting duties alongside the “Don’t You Wanna Stay” singer. Other musical acts include Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban and Lady Antebellum.

Catch the 2013 CMT Music Awards on Wednesday, June 5, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CMT.
