Nelly To Mentor Singer Baiyu On CW's "The Next"

Premiering August 16th on the CW, rapper and mentor Nelly will help up and coming songstress Baiyu showcase her talent on The Next. Baiyu and three other rising stars from New York will battle it out for a chance to be a headliner instead of an opening act.

Executive-produced by Queen Latifah, The Next features Joe Jonas, Nelly, Gloria Estefan and John Rich as musical mentors to up-and-coming musicians in six different cities. Over the course of 72 hours, each celebrity mentor will guide the contestants, by immersing themselves in the contenders' lives. They go to work and socialize with them, all the while preparing them for their big performance.

One winner will be chosen in each city and move on to the next round until ultimately, one performer remains and wins a recording contract with Atlantic Records.
