This is fascinating! When Marine biologist Roger Hanlon captured the first scene in this video he started screaming. Hanlon studies camouflage in cephalopods and discovered that they are masters of optical illusion. Cephalopods (squids, octopuses and cuttlefish) have several tricks for blending in with their undersea surroundings. They can change color, pattern and even the shape of their skin.
