“I approach a song the way a designer approaches clothing—I’m a music designer,” says Harlem's Dominic Lord. The rising talent has been in the lab working with everyone from Hudson Mowhawke to Stargate. When he's not recording, Dominic is rubbing shoulders with high end fashion designers like Riccardo Tisci (Givenchy). Yesterday, Vogue debuted his latest track, "Overworld."
“I was so riled up, I immediately went upstairs to the studio and recorded it in 30 minutes," he tells the fashion magazine. “Overworld is a word I created; it’s the opposite of underworld. It’s a state of mind more than anything else. It’s about inspiring people to find their inner positivity and knowing that you can do anything.”
