Mannie Fresh is getting back to his solo work. The New Orleans rapper dropped the new track "Heal the World," and though the song title might recall Michael Jackson's feel-good "Kumbaya" of the same name, Fresh's track is an unabashed, raw hip-hop cut that recalls the rapper's Cash Money days.
"Drink. Party. Night. Young. We. Kill. Sex. Fun," raps Fresh on the track.
While Fresh's last album was 2009's Return of the Ballin', the veteran hip-hop producer has kept busy contributing here and there. He helped produce the G.O.O.D. Music track "The One," off the label's debut compilation Cruel Summer. Even more recently, Fresh jumped on fellow NOLA rapper Dee-1's Man in My City mixtape.
