Earlier this week, Metta World Peace or the basketball player formerly known as Ron Artest sat down with New York radio station Hot 97 to talk about his new deal with the New York Knicks and debut his latest track "Peace."
World Peace reflected on returning to his home state. "It's definitely a dream come true," he admitted. "I've been trying to do this for 15 years, but If I would've came when I was 19, I was in the streets too much it was over."
On his new song, World Peace attempts to bring amity to the hardwood and beyond. "I'm trying to bring peace to the world," he raps as then shouts out several cities he has played for during his NBA career. The song follows his collaborations with Tech N9ne ("Point Of No Return") and Jim Jones ("Get Like Me"), both recorded back when he was a Los Angeles Lakers. Check out "Peace" below.
