Yet another gritty rap song out of New York has dropped, this time by way of iconic duos M.O.P. and Mobb Deep. Exactly the hood anthem that both acts should warrant, “Street Certified” features a signature old-school beat and clear lyrical intentions:

“M-O-B and M-O-P now what’s better than that?/ This that ‘leave a n—a leakin on the club floor’ rap…”

With all the necessary elements of street rap, including violent threats and proclamations of realness, Brownville and Queensbridge team up to deliver a refreshing dose of simplicity.

“We still do it like we s’posed to, street certified/ Most of yall switched up, but we prefer to ride,” the hook says.
