Queens-based rapper George Steven, who also goes by the moniker "T.Shirt," has a new project out that exemplifies the relationship between underground dance music and rap. T.Shirt has created a unique 15-minute mixtape of the goth-esque ambient group Purity Ring's, debut album that is certainly worth of a listen. The mix fuses the some ethereal melodies of from Purity Ring's debut album "Shrines" with the rapper's New York lyricism that makes for a layered remix that makes you float away on a cloud. Skip the Xanax, lay you're ear to this.
