If you've been paying close attention to hip-hop for the past couple of years, you'll notice a slight leaning towards an electronic sound amongst bigger artists. It's hard to believe, but James Blake was considered one of the first dubstep artists on the scene, and now he's making anything but with the soon-to-be star Chance the Rapper. "Life Round Here" is a serene ride through the unknown, sparked by Blake's ghostly voice and Chance's innocent whisper over a knocking beat that sounds beamed from 2020. This is the sound of the future.
Directed by Nabil and featuring the two artists driving down a road with mysterious gazing onlookers, the video is hard not to watch at least twice.
