Babyfaced newcomer Sebastian Mikael puts his heart on cruise control in his new visual "Beautiful Life." The Slip-N-Slide signee also flexes his guitar game by providing the soundtrack for a warm and fuzzy love story. It comes as a surprise given Sebastian's musical beginnings were imported from his native Sweden.
"Growing up in Sweden, its definitely different from over here [in America]," he recently told VIBE, "but music-wise, I kinda had to research myself because we really weren't introduced to hip-hop and soul music. YouTube wasn't around so it wasn't as easy to find all the music around, but mainly turning on the radio and my parents used to listen to older soul music like Marvin Gaye, Sade and Babyface so I started listening to that as a kid and just discovered more R&B artists like R. Kelly and Usher."
While his smooth R&B vocals are reminiscent of his inspirations, Sebastian also received words of wisdom from MMG rapper Wale, whom he first met on the set of their after-hours collaboration "Last Night."
"He gave me great advice while we shooting the video for it like ... lock yourself in a studio for three hours, make drops, it takes a lot to be here." Watch him sing the beautiful life above and cop the single on iTunes here.
