Houston is churning out talented, young artists, and the latest one is Vaughaligan, who is also a pastor. He was enrolled at Rice University as a track star, but when a knee injury threatened his athletic career, he turned to music. Added to that, drugs, alcohol, and a father who was dying of AIDS made his depression hard to hide.
Now, he's looking to spread the good word and raise spirits with a three part media bundle that begins with his upcoming album Grace Still Abides, featuring legendary artists like Scarface, Lil' Keke, Big Pokey, Baby Bash, Propain, Paul Wall, Lil Flip, Brian Angel, Mike Jones, Bun B and Z-Ro. He'll follow the album with a semi-biographical e-book of the same name, and will finish the series with a gripping film.
For now, watch the video for his first single, 'Grace Still Abides,' featuring Scarface, below. The single is available on iTunes now and the album drops April 8th. -- Max Weinstein
