Disney Tabs Next Star Wars Director

Since Disney purchased the rights to the Star Wars franchise from George Lucas, there has been rampant speculation over who wil be the next Star Wars director.

It seems like the speculation is over. The next Star Wars director is... J.J. Abrams, aka the current Star Trek director.

According to several sources, Abrams will be the next Star Wars director, taking the helm of the franchise with a new flick set to release in 2015. Allegedly, Ben Affleck was also up for the job of next Star Wars director.

Abrams will apparently be the next Star Wars director after returning the Star Trek franchise to prominence. His reboot of Star Trek in 2009 was a smash, and the sequel is due later this year.
