Nicki Minaj Cancels U.K.Concerts Due To Vocal Chord Damage

It was only a matter of time till Nicki Minaj's vocal injuries would catch up to her.

After rocking the Today Show and a nearly two-hour show at the Roseland Ballroom in New York Tuesday (Aug. 14), the 'Beez In The Trap' rapper has pulled the plug on her London shows due to vocal chord damage.

In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, Minaj's publicist says she "regretfully cancelled" her shows at the V Festival in England on Saturday and Sunday "due to strained vocal cords."

The rep adds, "Despite doctor's orders, she performed on a bruised vocal chord in (New York City) on August 14. As a result, the chord has gotten worse."

After an X-ray examination, her doctor has advised the femcee to rest her voice for the next several days.
