Nicki Minaj Heads to Hawaii, Goes Pink and Green for ‘Starships’ Video

VIBE VIXEN—Nicki Minaj headed to Oahu, Hawaii for her forthcoming “Starships” visuals. The Allure cover girl was filmed frolicking in the sun and sand, wearing a hot pink bikini and neon green wig. (Can you say “Massive Attack”?) The very shapely hip-pop star continuously updated her fans, tweeting her excitement about the male models and airport stans screaming her lyrics.

This star is bag of unpredictability, and she may just give us a great vid for the Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded track. Anything is better than “Stupid Hoe,” right?

Even after a controversial run thus far and loads of critical feedback, the Queen Barb remains stern about her position in this game as a woman. She tells VIBE:

It’s not hard to get your way when it’s your way or the highway. People either follow suit or they’re not around. I don’t really like the sound of that, ‘cause that sounds like a temper tantrum. I’m just very black and white when it comes to my business. There’s really no gray area. I really don’t have a lot of small talk with people I work with. It’s pretty much let’s get the job done. In the beginning, if people didn’t know me they’d probably assume I wasn’t smart or wasn’t business savvy. But once you sit and talk to me, it’s a different story.
