Amid all her song-stealing verses on other people’s tracks, Young Money rapper Nicki Minaj is beginning to line up top-shelf producers for her as-yet-untitled debut album.
The Queens-bred rapper told Rap-Up.com, “I’m probably definitely going to work with Kanye [West].”
Sean “The Pen” Garrett produced her first single, “Massive Attack,” and Minaj also mentioned Swizz Beatz as a potential collaborator.
She added that she’ll also try to give up-and-coming producers their due. “I like to work with unknown producers as well, so I accept beats from everybody.”
Though she only recently started recording the anticipated project, the self-proclaimed head Barbie-in-charge is already fielding offers.
“I'm thinking I'm gonna have more features than I even wanna put on my album," Minaj told MTV News. "I've gotten great feedback from artists I look up to and never thought I'd work with. They're already in line to be on the project. But it's like, 'Do I want to put out a debut album with a thousand features on it or do I wanna finally showcase Nicki?' I'm not worried about features at all because I've been blessed to come in the game and work with top-notch artists from the inception of my career."
