It looks like Nicki Minaj will be going from the small screen to the big screen soon.
The rapper and “American Idol” judge will make her movie debut in the upcoming comedy "The Other Woman," starring Cameron Diaz. The movie’s plot revolves around a woman (Diaz) who finds out that she is the other woman to a cheating husband (played by “Game of Thrones” star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau). Diaz’s character then teams up with with the man’s wife (played by Leslie Mann) to gain revenge against the two-timer. The film also features Kate Upton as a third woman who comes along for the ride. Nicki will play Diaz’s “opinionated assistant” at a law firm, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
"The Other Woman," directed by Nick Cassavetes, will be Nicki’s first major movie role, but the rapper has done voice-over work for the animated film "Ice Age: Continental Drift," starring as Steffie the sassy mammoth.
The film will reportedly begin shooting this summer in New York City, after the rapper finishes out her season on “American Idol.”
