Nicki Minaj Talks About Upcoming Clothing Line

It’s no surprise the first lady of YMCMB is starting her own clothing line. This past Spring, Nicki Minaj partnered up with OPI nails to release a collection of vibrant and colorful shades of lacquer titled “Minaj-Esque.” In addition to her collection of polish, Nicki also released a shade of lipstick through MAC cosmetics and can currently be seen endorsing products for Pepsi, Nokia, Adidas. The “Pound The Alarm” raptress even lent her animated vocals to the kids film Ice Age 4. And now, the self-proclaimed Barbie can add clothing line to her ever growing business empire.

She recently dished to Rolling Stone magazine her plans to launch her clothing line.

“We’re also working on a clothing line–I’m trying to launch that next year. We have the designs, the designers, all of that stuff,” she says in the interview. “I’m really looking forward to it because I feel like my fans are always asking me, ‘Where’d you get this? Where’d you get that?’ and sometimes they can’t afford certain things, so my biggest goal was to make a line that was going to be affordable to my fans and also rich enough in quality that they’ll feel like they’re wearing exactly what I’m wearing.”
